Bianca Antoinette Glynn is a vocalist and songwriter from London, she began her musical career as the lead vocalist in an original band working with management team Denis Ingoldsby and Oliver Smallman of First Avenue Music based in West London, seeing the likes of Eternal, Louise and The Honeyz pass through its doors. Recording and rehearsing with this band was a good stepping stone into the music industry, the band spent time rehearsing routines and co-writing with signed writers in the industry.
“It was great to see how a song was created and how different writers work. It was an early insight into the world of songwriting, which still helps me to this day on how to approach new song ideas”
Growing up listening to vocalists like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner, Bianca still had the desire to develop her vocal range and the power in her voice and luckily a chance meeting led to her joining ‘The Project' gospel choir led by musical director David Levalle. Over the next 2 years Bianca performed with the choir in many venues across the UK, including Brighton Goes Gospel and The Millennium Dome in Greenwich.
“This period of time in my life was so special to me. You can’t beat the feeling of voices coming together and singing for the pure enjoyment of it. No egos or affectation just a bunch of likeminded people with a mutual love and respect for music!”
In 2001 Bianca graduated from vocal-tech in West London and began working as a session vocalist after knocking on the door of hit song writer Yak Bondy of Stanley House Studios. She has since worked with some of the UK’s top writers and producers here in the UK, completing recording sessions for artists such as Gareth Gates, Emma Bunton, Rachel Stevens and many more. Including writing sessions with Osmond Wright (Zero 7) and producer Val Proletarski.
Highlights of her career so far have been live performance with Damon Albarn and Brian Eno on board The Trident, Greenpeace ship in Greenwich, for a televised performance of a choral piece titled ‘5 minutes to midnight’,
and more recently touring arenas across America, Canada & Germany with 'The Australian Pink Floyd Show' singing ‘The great gig in the sky’ taken from Pink Floyds 'Dark Side Of The Moon' Album.
“Touring with the Aussie Floyd show was amazing!. I love to travel and to do it whilst singing too, was just a dream come true! I remembered hearing the song when I was younger and being blown away then. I didn’t think I would one day find myself performing it live in front of thousands of people!”
